Ember's family - townsville photographer

Ember’s family – townsville photographer

Having family visiting is the perfect opportunity to document relationships. There was lots of love shared on this beautiful afternoon and the centre of that love was little Ember.  With golden hair, big brown eyes and the sweetest nature she had everyone wrapped around her little finger... including me. She particularly loved flying high as super girl. Watching her toes curl and ...

Faith – family photos Home Hill

Capturing Faith and the Swindley family on the special occasions of Faith's Debutante Ball was the second shoot I did when I visited my home town of Home Hill recently. With 3 generations present it was really special. At our first location I captured Great Grandma's portrait as she will be 90 later this year. Watching the interaction between the generations was ...

Family photos in Home hill – Brotto family

Lara and Jeff's 2nd son Ben was a partner for the Home Hill Debutante Ball, so with all her boys looking very smart Lara thought she would take the opportunity to update her family photos. The tricky part was Ben needed to be at ball rehearsal at 4.30pm... this meant we couldn't use the afternoons beautiful golden light. I traveled down to ...

Grandad’s visit – extended family photoshoot

The lovely White family had a special visitor coming all the way from the UK so wanted to document the occasion with some photos. This was Grandad's 2nd trip to Australia. The whole family adore having him stay. The boys were never far from his side throughout the shoot. When choosing a location for the shoot I wanted something classically ...

Ronon and Maddy – cousins

Living on either side of the country, Ronon and Maddy had never met in person. They met for the first time only hours before this shoot and instantly became best of friends. There was no way that beloved family member, Frank the sausage dog was going to be left at home and he aso had a ball playing with the kids. It ...

  • After 10 days on the Sunshine Coast it's good to be home. I was lucky enough to do a family shoot at Mudjimba Beach while I was there. This is one of my favourite shots.

  • This family walk this beach most afternoons. They have their special spots along the way – the log that the kids balance along and the rocks. They enjoy watching the kids play while the sky turns from blue to purple to pink. In years to come when they look at these images hopefully they will remember not only the day we did the shoot but also all the other days they were there as a family. Hopefully they will remember how it felt to be there.

  • A little something to think about during the festive season.
  • Baby Sadie has arrived and Asta is bursting with joy. Look at the excitement on that gorgeous little face.
  • Tis the season for family visiting. It’s a great opportunity to document the love you share. We have limited spots left for the holiday season so get in quick :)
  • When I photographed Sophie as a 3 year old she had all the moves so I knew she was going to be incredible to shoot for her graduation. She's simply stunning!
  • When I first met Teal to chat about her graduation photoshoot I thought her Mum looked familiar... turns out I photographed Teal when she was about 1. How time flies (and how old do I feel). This was the last shot of the day and is my favourite!

  • The good thing about having a sister who is a photographer is she takes photos of your kids…. the bad thing about it is, you never see the photos she takes. Just ask my sister, she’ll tell you all about it. All of that changed this week when my sister and niece viewed the images I shot only two weeks ago. Yassss, Aunty of the year! Check out Karlee on the blog, link in bio.

  • My favourite thing to capture... hands down is love. If you look for it, it’s everywhere.
