Commercial photography for a multi layered business in Townsville

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful, multi-layered business that blends a warm, welcoming café with a thoughtfully crafted product line and the best part, it’s run by a Mother and Daughter – Little Brick Road. On one side, you’re greeted by the hum of coffee being poured and conversations shared. On the other, shelves are lined with candles, essential oils, and natural products – made by hand, right out the back. The entire space carries this grounded, earthy energy that feels both calming and intentional. Cafe and product brand photography so powerful, it captures both atmosphere and intention in a single visual story.

From a photography perspective, this shoot had three distinct parts, each telling its own piece of the story.

  1. The Products – We began in the studio, photographing the product range.  Using soft, warm light and a clean, minimal approach, I created imagery that reflected the simplicity, quality, and integrity behind every product. These aren’t just products on a shelf, they’re an extension of the people who create them.
  2. The Cafe – I moved into the café to capture it in action. I focused on the movement, connection, and everyday moments that give the space its character. The concentration of creating coffee, the rhythm of service, the warmth of customer interactions. These details help people feel something long before they ever walk through the door. As an added bonus, I enjoyed a very good coffee along the way.
  3. The Creating – The final stage took us behind the scenes to document the making process. This is often my favourite part of a brand shoot. Watching skilled hands at work, witnessing the care behind each step. Documenting the intention poured into every item adds a level of authenticity that simply can’t be manufactured.

If I had to choose the best part of this entire experience, it wasn’t just the visuals – it was the people.

There’s a certain kind of energy that comes from working with people who are deeply passionate about what they do. I notice it instantly, their eyes light up when they talk. There’s pride, purpose, and this quiet confidence in the way they move through their work. That energy is contagious, and as a photographer, it’s incredibly inspiring. It pushes me to create in a way that truly honours who they are.

Before the shoot, we spent time connecting so I could really understand their story, their values, and what matters most to them. That process is everything. It means that when I pick up my camera, I’m not just taking photos, I’m creating images that feel aligned, intentional, and true to them.

I absolutely loved this shoot. The people, the space, the story…. the images we created together. I can’t wait to see these visuals come to life across their socials and website, connecting with the people they’re meant to reach. You can purchase divine products from Little Brick Road HERE

This is why I do what I do.
