Prince the Great Dane’s Pet Photoshoot
When Karla was a young girl she saw the movie Scoobydoo and from that point on she dreamt that when she grew up she'd get a Great Dane. Well, dreams do come true! Believe it or not, Prince is only 5 months old.... just a baby. This shoot included lots of treats for Prince and doggie smooches for us. I'm not ...
Anna and Darren – pregnancy photoshoot at home
Ohhhh I had been looking forward to this shoot! For me, the best part about shooting in someones home is the ability to tell more of a story. When I view old photos of my family I am always scanning the background looking for clues in the images of the life my parents/grandparents had. One day maybe Anna and Darren's ...
Ronon and Maddy – cousins
Living on either side of the country, Ronon and Maddy had never met in person. They met for the first time only hours before this shoot and instantly became the best of friends.
There was no way that beloved family member, Frank the sausage dog was going to be left at home. He also had a ball playing with the kids!
It ...
On the side of Castlehill
A beautiful perspective of our city combined with the loveliest family!
After 5 minutes I felt like I'd known this family forever. To me, they are the quintessential Australian family. They even have the most gorgeous little terrier named Poppity. Traipsing through the spear grass for the perfect shot didn't bother these guys. They were up for an afternoon of adventure.
These images were shot ...
The Deacon family 2018
I love shooting for the Deacon family yearly, but this one was extra special.
Huon moved to Perth last year so this shoot was scheduled for his first trip home. It was beautiful seeing them together after their time apart. That's the thing with family... no matter how long you're apart, when you're reunited everything just falls into place. There's no ...
the frakes family – beach family photos
I first shot for the Frakes family when Olivia was just 6 months old. We've documented their story many times over the years. The afternoon we spent together down the beach was relaxed and simply beautiful. Their gorgeous little dog Tilley kept us all entertained.
Even before the shoot Danielle had a very clear idea of how she wanted to display ...
Deacon family – the 11th year
I look forward to this shoot all year!
For the 11th consecutive year, we are very grateful to have the opportunity to document the Deacon Family.
There were big changes for this lovely family in 2017 with Huon moving to WA. The natural progression of a growing family - they move out! We missed Huon at the shoot. He is usually teasing ...
“will you marry me?
Sam told Jess wanted to get a couple of photos with their dogs but Sam had other plans that Jess didn't know about. Halfway through the shoot, he dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him. It was a moment filled with emotion that I feel privileged to have witnessed.

Deacon Family 2016
Honey first photographed the Deacon family in 2006. Every year, without fail, Carolyn would call in November/December and book in to update their family photos. When Honey moved away the honor was passed onto me. For the last 10 years, we have watched them grow and change. In the beginning, they didn't have any pets and now it's a wonderful ...
the lew family
I love catching up with the Lew family every few years for an update to their family photos. I love creating images that I think are beautiful but what I love equally is building relationships with people. Watching a family grow is the greatest privilege.
