Jenna's pregnancy shoot

Jenna’s face may look familiar. She and her husband Jason were our make believe wedding couple back in 2012. (if you missed it check out the movie here ) Jenna sure was a beautiful bride and is doing pregnancy in the same way. She was open to suggestions when we started discussing what we were going to do for her pregnancy shoot. I have been eying off this location just out of town so took the opportunity to use it.

I love the wide open space, the neutral colour palette and of course my amazing subject.
I have known Jenna’s family for many years and photographed them all for the first time over 10 years ago. She had only just met Jason. It’s been beautiful watching their love grow, seeing them get married and now seeing them now becoming parents.
We can’t wait to meet (and photograph) your little boy Jenna and Jason, Congratulations!

  • Whoever said that engineers were boring obviously didn't meet the team at SMEC. I had a blast capturing their headshots this week.
  • An unforgettable moment at Teegan and Sean’s wedding last year. Little Marley was getting amongst it. 😆 I love how kids are so unpredictable.
  • The excited expression on her face says it all.
  • Even the Great Danes were included in this pregnancy/newborn shoot. I've popped my favorites on the blog. Check them out using the link in bio.

  • Here he is... Logan. This is the little guy who just couldn't wait to make his entrance into the world. He was in such a hurry Jemmah's pregnancy shoot almost didn't happen. (read the previous post) I'm grateful he gave us a few hours grace to allow us to capture the pregnancy stage. Isn't he the sweetest!

  • THE PREGNANCY SHOOT THAT ALMOST DIDN'T HAPPEN - Scheduled for the first time during 'the big wet', this shoot had to be rescheduled 3 times before we finally had a day with enough light to shoot. We were ready to shoot at 8.30am.... that was until Jemmah's water broke at 6.30am. Amazingly she still wanted to go ahead. "Don't worry, we've got this" her message to me read. I shuffled a few of my other bookings around, pushing her shoot time back and after she was checked over at the birth center she was given the all clear to go home and do the shoot. I am so pleased I got to document this special time. As the day went on I couldn't help but wonder how everything was going. I got a text message the following day... a boy! Stay tuned for the newborn photos, he is a cutie!!

  • I am super proud of these portraits that I shot in collaboration with Verve Design for Queensland Country Credit Union last year. 6 different individuals shot in 6 different locations around Townsville. Check them all out on the blog. Link in bio :) Megan
