Margaret recently celebrated her 60th birthday. Her husband, children and grandchildren all got together for a family dinner with her. What she didn’t know is they had also planned a family photo shoot for later that afternoon. Luckily Margaret was thrilled with the idea so I traveled down to the Burdekin and we all met up at the park.

I often get asked what I like to shoot the best. I love shooting families but extended families are extra special. It’s been said that your cousins are your first best friends… this certainly was true for me, so I love watching the cousins come together… and of course also aunts, uncles, grandparents. I like to keep things pretty informal and rather than ask people to stand in particular spots I prefer to see who gravitates to each other.

Most extended families are a little crazy to shoot (in a good way) and the Sorohan’s were no exception. We had kids running everywhere and lots of laughter.
I hope you love your birthday present Margaret. You certainly have a beautiful family.
