The Grant family
Emil and Claire are enjoying life with little Bridgette and I loved documenting this time for them. For me, shoots are just hanging out together.... getting to know each other and the camera just happens to also be there. We chatted, played and thanks to Bridgette, laughed a lot. She is quite the little character.

the gift of gratitude this christmas
Over the years, when I deliver people their photos I often ask them how the images make them feel. The most common answer - GRATEFUL!
Having photos taken to document the relationships that are special to you is an act of gratitude. It's taking a moment to look at and reflect on what is most important in your life - the people ...
Jane & Vin – family photos
I showed Jane her family photos yesterday... she turned to me with tears in her eyes and said "My heart feels like it has swelled to 10 times its normal size. I am one lucky girl".
The gratitude I feel for being able to create meaningful images for people is immense. The gratitude I feel for being able to create images ...
bushland beach family photos
One of my favorite ages to document a child at would be between 1 and 2. Not babies anymore but also not children yet, these walking chubby little ones captivate me. I was very happy when Majella called me to make a time to update her family photos again especially considering the twins are at this beautiful stage. It's also wonderful ...
Family photos at Cungulla
It's great when a location for a family photo shoot is more than just somewhere pretty but is somewhere that is special to the family. The Abraham family has been visiting Cungulla beach for family getaways for many many years. Because of this it was the perfect spot to capture their family. When they look at these images on their walls ...
The Dare Family – family photos townsville
One year on and a lot has changed for the Dare family. (see last years shoot here) That adorable little baby has grown a ridiculously cute curly, crazy haired toddler. Carter is a little dude! Chippy (fur child) still seems miffed as to why everyone thinks Carter is so wonderful. This in itself is hilarious.
We ran with a bit of a 'Sullivans' ...
“will you marry me?
Sam told Jess wanted to get a couple of photos with their dogs but Sam had other plans that Jess didn't know about. Halfway through the shoot, he dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him. It was a moment filled with emotion that I feel privileged to have witnessed.

the McArthur family
It's often difficult to get the family together so when it happens it's great to document it. Even though this is not the entire McArthur family, it's everyone from their 2016 Christmas. I love watching cousins interact with each other, grandparents dote over their grandchildren and grown siblings enjoy their nieces and nephews. Families can be complex (well at least mine is) ...
family photos down the creek
The Grundy family moved up from Melbourne a few years back for a lifestyle change. They have settled on the banks of Bluewater creek. What a patch of paradise! It was a beautiful location for their family photos. The kids played, skipped rocks and with a bit of encouragement from me also put the little boat in. It means a ...
Team Thompson – a surprise photoshoot
I can finally share images from this shoot which has been top secret business for a few months. Eloise, Callie, Courtney, and Riley surprised their parents for Christmas this year by having sibling photos taken. The shoot was themed around their childhood (They played UNO often) and was shot in Brisbane, where their parents met many years ago. The jacarandas even ...
