honey's pregnancy photos

Honey’s bump has been growing nicely and at 36 weeks we thought we had better get moving with her pregnancy shoot.

As photographers we find inspiration everywhere. I have recently been inspired by a photographer in Japan who does most of her shoots in  water. With Townsville current AMAZING winter weather also inspiring me we planned a shoot for Rose Bay. The styling involved was simple as I wanted to star of the show to be the Ocean and that gorgeous bump. Poor Honey was freezing but would do anything for a good photo so braved the cold and even got in the water for me.
Honey’s baby girl is going to be named Ocean and I know one day she will look at these photos with amazement knowing that beautiful bump is her. Not long now and I will get to meet her… I can’t wait!

  • An unforgettable moment at Teegan and Sean’s wedding last year. Little Marley was getting amongst it. 😆 I love how kids are so unpredictable.
  • The excited expression on her face says it all.
  • Even the Great Danes were included in this pregnancy/newborn shoot. I've popped my favorites on the blog. Check them out using the link in bio.

  • Here he is... Logan. This is the little guy who just couldn't wait to make his entrance into the world. He was in such a hurry Jemmah's pregnancy shoot almost didn't happen. (read the previous post) I'm grateful he gave us a few hours grace to allow us to capture the pregnancy stage. Isn't he the sweetest!

  • THE PREGNANCY SHOOT THAT ALMOST DIDN'T HAPPEN - Scheduled for the first time during 'the big wet', this shoot had to be rescheduled 3 times before we finally had a day with enough light to shoot. We were ready to shoot at 8.30am.... that was until Jemmah's water broke at 6.30am. Amazingly she still wanted to go ahead. "Don't worry, we've got this" her message to me read. I shuffled a few of my other bookings around, pushing her shoot time back and after she was checked over at the birth center she was given the all clear to go home and do the shoot. I am so pleased I got to document this special time. As the day went on I couldn't help but wonder how everything was going. I got a text message the following day... a boy! Stay tuned for the newborn photos, he is a cutie!!

  • I am super proud of these portraits that I shot in collaboration with Verve Design for Queensland Country Credit Union last year. 6 different individuals shot in 6 different locations around Townsville. Check them all out on the blog. Link in bio :) Megan
