Food porn

What an amazing food shoot for Ashlee from ‘Do the Honours’ in-house catering. Ashlee was catering for a small family wedding at a spectacular house in Aligator Creek. I arrived just on sunset to see the bride and groom dressed like they had come from a red carpet film premiere. Ashlee cruised away in the kitchen dishing up fresh and colourful plates for her guests. The edible flowers were flown up from Brisbane for the desert plate and the meat in the melon salad was flown in from Spain!!
Normally I shoot all food using natural light only and never studio lights. I learnt to shoot with natural light while doing work experience on some food shoots for Ben Dearnley (Donna Hay Mag)…. but this was a night time event so I had to use studio lights. So I did my best to emulate natural light.
The best part… I got to try a few of the dishes!
