Studio Fun
I had lots of fun shooting my little sister in the studio a couple of weeks ago. We were also lucky enough to have a friend, Sevasti, do the make-up for the afternoon. We shot a couple of different looks – one more relaxed and another more edgy. I was really happy with the result.
One of my favourite parts of creating images is post production work in Photoshop. There is nothing better than putting on some great tunes and going in to editing land. I always have a great time playing around – it is amazing how much the mood of a photo can be changed by altering colours and tones. After I have made my selection of photos to edit, I generally look at them all together and try and get a feel for how I would like to edit them. In the first series, I thought the poses/styling gave a laid back and feminine feeling and I wanted to enhance that through the editing process. I added a blur filter around some parts of the photos to soften them further and also painted in soft pastel colours on to the background. The icing on the cake is seeing the before and afters and being able to see how much you have transformed a photo 🙂
Thanks for a really fun afternoon Johanna and Sev!
