Kids & Family photos

The best part about photographing kids and families is the relationship that is built. We have been photographing the Frakes family for six years now and it is always such a pleasure to catch up with Darren, Danielle and their two gorgeous girls Oliver and Georgia. Danielle likes to come up with new ideas for each shoot. When a client is involved as much as we are in coming up with with a unique shoot ideas, the results always show. I love watching the girls grow. Each time I see them I notice how much they are look like their mum and dad. With features changing and personalities growing it is truly special journey to be involved in.
For the kids calendar shoot I wanted it to be really girly, the idea starting from the dresses. Danielle forwarded me through photos of the pastel toned dresses and from there I decided to go with a blue background and softened the scene with pale pink props (grapefruit softdrink, wooden crate and pink paper love hearts). For the family shoot we went with a big grassy frield and shot backlit to give it a ‘dreamy’ feel. I love the tones of the grass with the outfit choices.
I drove away from the shoot feeling alive and happy 🙂
A few days after the photoshoot I was lucky enough to be delivered home made cupcakes, T2 french tea and a beautiful card from the girls! What a delightful way to sweeten up my week.
