Insight Mums – Portrait photography
We thought it was time for some of us (the Insight Creative team) to share some special words about our mum’s.
Suz…. “My Mum and I are definitely like that funny old saying, ‘two peas in a pod’. I wish I could remember all the lovely little things Mum has done for me through the years, unfortunately I don’t remember all of them, but I do remember how much I feel loved… even in my stroppiest moments!!! Mum truly is my best friend, my go-to person with anything and everything…. ” read more about Suz’s mum on our blog: I can’t always expect a rational, non-biased opinion as she is lightyears ahead of anyone else in the fanclub stakes, but all our conversations inevitably involve a lot of laughter, a ridiculous amount of English sentiment and a huge amount of love.
I know that my Mum wouldn’t hesitate to stop everything she’s doing and hop on a plane to make the long journey to see me if I asked. Luckily Skype makes distances a lot easier to manage… hopefully they’ll invent the option to send and receive actual hugs in our lifetimes 🙂 It’s not actually Mother’s Day in the UK but I’ll happily take this opportunity to rave about my Mum and also congratulate my sister on becoming a Mum (for the second time) to my nephew, born earlier this week.”
Honey…
“I grew up from a young age with only one parent – my mum. And somehow she managed to fill many roles – she is my mum, my dad and my closest friend. When I reflect on my mum I think of… Her strength and fierce determination to manage with very little, her caring gestures and words that make me feel unconditionally loved at all times, her silly infectious laughter and different view on the world that means she has more fun hanging out with my friends than people her own age.
Knowing that you have someone in your life that would do ANYTHING for you allows you a sense of freedom and certainty that is rare. My mum has given me many gifts, the biggest… Being happy with the person I have become… which is only made possible because of her.”
