At Insight Creative we love to tell people’s stories… The more I am able to find out about a couple, business owner, family, artist, child – the better the end result. Moving into video as another medium to tell stories has been a crazy journey which has opened my eyes to a new way of looking at the world.
Meet Courtney and Thomas, the cutest couple! When Courtney came into our photography studio to talk about her ideas for an engagement shoot she already had it all worked out… She gave me just what I wanted… lots of information about herself so I could help tell her and her partner’s story.

The location – her Nan and Pop’s property that she spent her childhood hanging out at (check out the cute photo of her below as a little girl). The lighting – she loved the ‘dreamy’ backlit light. Style – candid and fun because that reflected their personalities. Outfits – she knew the colours and look she wanted and had a dress on order straight away.

You might know Courtney from local Townsville radio station 106.3 and those who don’t… well the best way to describe her is a power house of energy with an incredible enthusiasm for life! Both Courtney and Thomas were so up for having fun and happy to try out some video along with stills. The light during that afternoon was incredible so it was impossible not to try some slow-mo clips of the two of them together.
