Abe and Micah

We often do photoshoots at outdoor locations or in our studio which are great, but one of my favourite places to shoot is at client’s houses. I like that I get to share in the ‘story’ of the person I am photographing and that in years to come things that are in the background will remind them of their past.
Shooting at client’s houses can offer some great variety, but are often really challenging as we have to deal with lighting conditions that we normally wouldn’t choose to shoot in. Most modern block homes are designed to keep the light/heat out of a house so they aren’t suitable for shoots. Often the best houses to shoot in are Queenslanders or really modern open plan ones.
Trina lives in a beautiful Queenslander that is being renovated and the best part is that the outside boards have been stripped back and worked perfect for a really ‘rustic’ shoot. It was an overcast day which worked in our favor, making the lighting more gentle.
