Townsville kids photography – Flower love

Being photographers we are always looking for inspiration – sometimes from the internet, life, magazines or even movies. I recently stumbled across a styled kids shoot with flower headpieces and I knew instantly that I wanted to create a similar look. We are lucky because we have such an awesome relationship with Townsville Flower Market I was able to email through the inspiration, plus photos of the little girls. Once Flower Market received this, their creative team came up with colours to suit each of the girls. We LOVE Flower Market – they are innovative and the always understand a creative brief.
Our studio had photographed two lots sisters for the Townsville Kids Calendar earlier in the month so we already knew in advance that they would work well for this concept. The first two sisters are Lily and Molly who have soft pink English skin and the second set of sisters are Keela, Miley and Taylor who have beautiful warm carmel skin.
Photographing children and flowers who are both near perfect to begin with is such a delight! I wanted each of the girls to remain quite still and passive, no laughing or any funny expressions. I really wanted to see each of the girls faces unchanged by expressions so I could see the perfect shape of their eyes and lips.
Thank you to the gorgeous girls for being our models and to Townsville Flower Market for producing such amazing floral headpieces. I am in love with all of them and I just want to shoot more!!
