Judy and Chris’s – celebrate love
My favorite thing to photograph – love
Chris and Judy got engaged! They planned to celebrate their love with their friends and family throwing an engagement party. They also thought it would be great to do their engagement shoot on the same day. The party was held just out of town on 28 acres of bushland. The perfect location for a shoot especially when lit with the late afternoon golden backlight. We had an easy, relaxed afternoon cruising from location to location with Judy and Chris doing what they do best – love each other. The afternoon flowed beautifully.
After the shoot, we were having a chat and Judy and Chris shared with me the story of how Chris proposed. At the time, they were renovating. Chris built a concrete love bench and he wrote in the wet concrete – will you marry me. The permanence of the concrete being a symbol of forever. I can just image this story being shared from generation to generation along with future generations being shown the simple, beautiful words written in Chris’s handwriting. I hope these photos are shared in the same way.
It was a beautiful night, full of love, friendship, family and fun. Somehow with their wedding planned for next year, I think they are just getting warmed up.
