DSLR Photography Workshop for Beginners

PhotoworkshopAd3

Hands-on photography course with lots of practical learning. Understand how your camera works on manual mode and capture your life better. A one day workshop that incorporates a little theory, lots of practical learning, models and scenes to practice on, plenty of one-on-one time with your teacher and a take-home workbook.

The next photography workshop is booked for Sunday 18th of June and runs from 9.30-4.30pm with lunch, snacks and workbook included. We’ll cover shutter speed, aperture, ISO, depth of field, focus and how to use natural light like a pro.

There’s no boring-technical-sitting at a desk-theory! It’s completely hands on fun. We’ll walk you through each lighting situation, talk the camera talk (shutter speeds, aperture etc.) but then you’re straight off to put it into practice and guess what… if you don’t get it we’re right there to help you through it!

Jane (photo above) attended our photography workshop a few years ago and she’s a wonderful example of the joy that comes from being able to use your camera well. Jane says:

“Attending your photography workshop was hands down the best thing I have ever done. I developed a real passion for photography after this course and absolutely treasure some of the beautiful photos I have been able to capture of my everyday life with my family. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!”

Book your spot now: workshops@insightcreative.com.au  (we only have 1 spot left). Check out some of Jane’s recent photos below, we’re so proud!!

  • On my days off, this is where you will find me. At the moment I have eggplant, pumpkin, cucumber, chilli, herbs and even found a random rockmelon. I also buy zinnia, marigold, cosmos and sunflower seeds and scatter them everywhere. Every time I look all the flowers it makes me happy. This particular flower beds seeds came as a gift from @honeyatkinson. Best gift ever!!! Megan :)
  • After living here for 20 years I thought I knew Townsville... apparently not! This family surprised me with where we did this shoot. Can you pick where it was shot? I had no idea this place existed. Read all about it on the blog. Link in bio.

  • Kicking off the new year is the perfect time to focus on what you need to get you where you want to be. Your point of difference is that you are YOU! Business profile shots that tell your story should be top of the list. #2019isyouryear thanks @letsbereal_withkylie for choosing me to help tell your story.
  • LOVE - it’s the reason why I take photos.
  • There is something ethereal about this image of my gorgeous niece.
  • I worked with @_thehuntinghouse and The Cathedral School of St Anne & St James Townsville last year on this Beyond the Gates campaign. It's rewarding to see our collaborative efforts in print in this months @pakmag_online. The grounds of the school are like something out of a pop up story book. The school offers monthly tours if you'd like to take a closer look.
