Isabella's formal

Beautiful Isabella is the picture of elegance attending her school formal. Our shoot included quite a few locations that are all close to each other. We chose these spots because they have great light but they also offer excellent variety for the images. I am sure Isabella danced the night away. (she assured me it was possible in her shoes) We wish her all ...

Contemporary Glamour

After  seeing a some really beautiful glamour style shoots online I was inspired to asked the lovely Monique from Tiki on Ackers if she would allow me to photograph the amazing women in her family. I had met Monique's Grandmother (who occasionally helps out at the salon with 'tea and tidy') and had also heard so much about her Mum. ...

A trip to the salon

Honey and I were lucky enough to photograph this beautifully styled shoot last week at Tiki on Ackers hair salon. Karen from Carbine Avenue always does an amazing job styling and this shoot was no exception. When we walked through the doors, it felt like we had travelled back in time! Every detail had been considered... the stunning clothes were supplied ...

because we're cute

My 16 year old daughter Holly, partnered her bestfriend/boyfriend Simon to his graduation yesterday. The preparation started months ago when we purchased her original 1950's dress from etsy in America.  Yesterday we  had appointments at Reds Salon with Troy for her hair and Bellanova with Dana for her makeup. We were so happy with the end result Holly was squealing with ...

Starving artist

We have known Alison from Prophecy for a long time now. She has modeled for a hair shoot, has styled hair and makeup for our glamour shoots and most recently she has asked Insight Creative to photograph her latest creative concept 'Starving Artist'. The model Elizabeth was amazing to work with, perfect skin and legs that went on forever. Make-up ...

Peasant Shoot

It is great having a bunch of people to collaborate on an idea. It means we (photographers) can concentrate on taking photos and everything else just falls into place. Thank you to the wonderful models Evie and Marni and to clothes that were supplied by Seconde... and a massive thank you to Josh for creating the hair and make-up and ...

  • If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard “I will have my family photos taken after I loose weight”
  • On my days off, this is where you will find me. At the moment I have eggplant, pumpkin, cucumber, chilli, herbs and even found a random rockmelon. I also buy zinnia, marigold, cosmos and sunflower seeds and scatter them everywhere. Every time I look all the flowers it makes me happy. This particular flower beds seeds came as a gift from @honeyatkinson. Best gift ever!!! Megan :)
  • After living here for 20 years I thought I knew Townsville... apparently not! This family surprised me with where we did this shoot. Can you pick where it was shot? I had no idea this place existed. Read all about it on the blog. Link in bio.

  • Kicking off the new year is the perfect time to focus on what you need to get you where you want to be. Your point of difference is that you are YOU! Business profile shots that tell your story should be top of the list. #2019isyouryear thanks @letsbereal_withkylie for choosing me to help tell your story.
  • LOVE - it’s the reason why I take photos.
  • There is something ethereal about this image of my gorgeous niece.
  • I worked with @_thehuntinghouse and The Cathedral School of St Anne & St James Townsville last year on this Beyond the Gates campaign. It's rewarding to see our collaborative efforts in print in this months @pakmag_online. The grounds of the school are like something out of a pop up story book. The school offers monthly tours if you'd like to take a closer look.
